Mission Statement

The mission of Community Empowerment Services, Inc. (CES) is to empower returning citizens by equipping them with the skills needed for self-sufficiency and personal growth. Through education, vocational training, life skills development, and comprehensive support services, we are committed to addressing the specific needs identified in criminogenic assessments. Our programs are also aligned with the Social Determinants of Health as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control, ensuring a holistic approach to improving the lives of those reentering society. CES strives to help individuals build a stable and fulfilling future while contributing positively to their communities.

What We Do

At Community Empowerment Services, Inc. (CES), we focus on delivering evidence-based programs that help individuals develop the pro-active skills necessary for a successful transition back into society. Our approach addresses key areas that have been shown to influence criminal behavior:

Tackling behaviors that are explosive, aggressive, or harmful to others.

Addressing impulsive, risk-taking behaviors and manipulative tendencies.

In addition to these focused interventions, we align our services with the 5 Social Determinants of Health outlined by the Centers for Disease Control to provide comprehensive support. These determinants play a critical role in fostering long-term success and include:

Through this holistic approach, CES empowers individuals to rebuild their lives, break free from the cycle of criminal behavior, and become active contributors to their communities.

Peer Monitoring

At Community Empowerment Services, Inc., our Peer 2 Peer Mentoring Program offers a
comprehensive approach to support returning citizens on their journey to reintegration. This program
fosters formal mentoring relationships built on mutual trust and shared goals, which are collaboratively
defined by both the mentor and the mentee.
Through the Peer 2 Peer mentoring model, we provide guidance aimed at helping individuals achieve
stability, foster positive behavioral changes, and adopt new ways of thinking. Our mentors, many of
whom have faced similar challenges, offer valuable insights and support that encourage personal growth
and long-term success.
Together, we build pathways toward empowerment, ensuring that every individual receives the
guidance they need to rebuild their lives and positively contribute to their communities.

Community Partnerships
